The Magic Plum Heist
A downloadable magical adventure
Rumours are circulating throughout Kiwi Acres of a valuable treasure hidden deep within the Kakariki Orchard. It's said that a plum tree, unlike any other, bears magical fruit with incredible powers. It bears but one fruit a year, and the time is close. The birds guarding the orchard have become increasingly suspicious of new visitors to the orchard, knowing they may not all have the best intentions.
They’re right to be wary - the Thieves Guild is planning a heist, and Paikea, the boss of the local possum gang, has also set his sights on the mysterious fruit, willing to do whatever it takes to sink his claws into it. Getting hold of the plum won’t be easy as the orchard is protected by mysterious and ancient magic, so you’ll need to be quick, clever and lucky to find it first.
Will you be able to find the answer to the question everyone is asking: what is the true magic of the fruit?

How can you use this?
The Magic Plum Heist is set in the Kiwi Acres campaign setting for Mausritter and works best when used in that context in hex #13 on the map. You can alternatively use this as a one-shot adventure in your own games or plug it into an existing campaign.
The adventure includes:
- Convenient printing options in A4 and US letter sizes
- A maze-like location map
- Unique magical elements that force players into finding creative gameplay solutions
- 3 factions competing for the same goal
- 6 curses with unique & interesting effects
- 1 powerful, game-changing new item
- Player & GM maps in colour and black & white outline
- Integration with the wider world of the Kiwi Acres setting
A note for the GM:
As The Magic Plum Heist takes place in the Kiwi Acres setting, it references items, creatures and tables that are available as part of the Kiwi Acres package. If you are not using Kiwi Acres, the standard Mausritter tables should suffice. Creature details are also included in the freely available New Zealand Bestiary.
During this adventure, the map remains hidden, except for the players' current location (the fog closes behind them as they move). To make this work practically, you can place the map on the table and cut a 2cm-wide hole in the centre of another piece of paper or card and move that along the map as the players explore.

A good heist adventure with some original curses to place on your mice and a very powerful one-use item at the end. There's three factions at play, which can make it very interesting, but they're not too fleshed out so maybe you can give them different motivations to want the magic plum before playing it.
This is excellent feedback - thanks! I'm glad you like the curses and the powerful item.
I definitely agree with you about the factions so I have just published an update that includes info about the motivations of each one, as well as integrating them even more into the encounters and locations. Thanks for leaving a comment and rating :)
