Campsite Caper
A downloadable puzzle adventure
As the sun begins to set over the Kiwi Acres farm, the mice of Scarecrow Stand emerge from their homes to begin their nightly quest for food. But tonight, they face a new challenge - a group of pesky possums, led by the cunning Paikea, has set their sights on the same food sources as the mice. And worse yet, the giants, who are quick to clear off any mouse they see, are sleeping nearby.
To succeed in their mission, the mice must find ways around the obstacles while being stealthy and avoiding detection at all costs. They must gather as much food as they can before the possums do and return to the settlement. But if they are caught, it could spell disaster for the entire community. Can the mice outwit the possums and stay hidden from the giants? Only time will tell…
How does this work?
This adventure location contains no combat - it is a puzzle adventure located in a human campsite (a naturally dangerous place for mice). The 8 locations on the map each contain a puzzle or challenge that players will need to figure out in order to gain new items and loot. The adventure has an overall timer (it must take place at night) and a danger meter to add more consequence to the individual actions of the players. Included in the downloads is a puzzle guide that GMs can use to help guide players through the challenges, but if you would like to figure it out on your own or you have experience managing puzzles, you don't need to use it.

How can you use this?
Campsite Caper is set in the Kiwi Acres campaign setting for Mausritter and works best when used in that context in hex #6 on the map. You can alternatively use this as a one-shot adventure in your own games or plug it into an existing campaign.
The adventure includes:
- Convenient printing options in A4 and US letter sizes
- 8 puzzle rooms with unique and interesting challenges
- An overall timer and danger meter as players work through the adventure
- An optional puzzle guide for GMs to help you along the way
- 4 new usable items
- 4 new conditions
- Player & GM maps in colour and black & white outline
- Integration with the wider world of the Kiwi Acres setting
A note for the GM:
As Campsite Caper takes place in the Kiwi Acres campaign setting, it references items, creatures and tables that are available as part of the Kiwi Acres package. If you are not using Kiwi Acres, the standard Mausritter tables should suffice.

Very interesting location that fits Mausritter very well! Looting food from sleeping campers is a good premise. Adding items that you can get on a part of the camp and helps on another part is great. And adding a ticking clock in the form of a noise meter as a risk/reward mechanic is amazing. Not all parties enjoy puzzles but if they do they can get a big kick out of this location. Great idea, great execution and great layout as always, very recommended.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you appreciate the no-combat setup - I find this adventure to be a nice break for a different kind of thing :)
