Things move quickly at Kiwi Acres!

The latest version of the package, v1.3, is now available for download. Along with the new features outlined below, you may notice some branding updates around the place. All this is in preparation for redesigning the entire package into an A5 zine that can be easily printed and stapled at home. This will make the whole thing a lot more attractive and easier to use, so keep an eye out for that!

The new features in this release are:

Map of Scarecrow Stand

After I've been talking about it for ages, Kiwi Acres finally includes a location map for Scarecrow Stand - the friendly settlement in the centre of the farm. The scarecrow was drawn by my wonderful wife, Catherine Lashbrooke, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out:

The map includes 10 keyed locations, all described in the download - it is available for players to explore and get to know the residents. The new maps PDF includes copies of the Scarecrow Stand map in full colour, grayscale, and black outline for flexible printing options.

Six New NPCs

Speaking of the residents of Scarecrow Stand, it comes along with six brand new NPCs - from the gruff shop owner with a storied past, to the reclusive rat who lives in the ramshackle house, you'll find many interesting and helpful characters as you explore Scarecrow Stand. Maybe some of them could even join players on their adventures...

And, with that, the core features for Kiwi Acres are effectively complete!

Unless I think of something particularly interesting, or someone requests new features that will fit in well, things are likely going to stay much as they are in terms of core content. That being said, I am still developing new adventures for the setting and I am working on completely redoing the layout so it is available as a printable A5 zine. I might even do a physical print run if there's enough interest. Exciting times!
