The Rending of the Sun is an all-new adventure, presented in A5 trifold format, available for Knave 2e and Mausritter.

There are separate downloads for each game, with modifications as needed. The core adventure and text is all the same between the two, with the main difference being the opponents’ stat blocks, some item details, and ability references.

You can download the adventure in A5 trifold, spreads, or singles. The trifold is the best layout experience, while spreads and singles are much easier to print at home. The pamphlets were created using my freely available A5 trifold and booklet Canva templates.

I wrote this adventure for the Knave 2e Adventure Game Jam as well as the Mausritter: The Adventure Continues jam.

I quite enjoyed writing an adventure that would work in both systems and, since Knave and Mausritter both follow the same old-school principles, it was pretty easy to make it work in both.

The main art of the adventure is a fantastic isometric tree by Fernando Salvaterra - I can highly recommend checking out his work! I’m certainly going to be using more of it in future modules.
