Craggy Rock
A downloadable location
Craggy Rock is a location where players can go to find out information about the surrounding area (i.e. the other hexes on the map). It is built for the Kiwi Acres campaign setting but can be used with any map or campaign.
High above the Kiwi Acres farm, atop the weathered Craggy Rock, perches Old Wingbeard, an eccentric albatross with a fabled knowledge of all that unfolds in the shadows. Adventurers seeking answers and insights are drawn to this rock. As you approach the towering edifice, a gust of wind carries Old Wingbeard's raspy voice to your ears. With mischievous eyes, he beckons you up the rocky path, offering glimpses into the secrets that the farm holds.
Craggy Rock is a haven for those hungry for information, where conversations with Old Wingbeard unravel the mysteries of the land. But beware - unpredictable challenges await, testing your mettle along the way.

How can you use this?
Craggy Rock is set in the Kiwi Acres campaign setting for Mausritter and works best when used in that context in hex #9 on the map. Since it is all about learning information about the other hexes, it won't quite work as a one-shot adventure, but you can plug it into an existing campaign in any hexmap.
The adventure includes:
- Convenient printing options in A4 and US letter sizes
- An enigmatic NPC that can provide interesting information
- 1 unique new item
- Player & GM maps in colour and black & white outline
- Integration with the wider world of the Kiwi Acres setting
A note for the GM:
As Craggy Rock takes place in the Kiwi Acres hexcrawl, it references items, creatures and tables that are available as part of the Kiwi Acres package. If you are not using Kiwi Acres, the standard Mausritter tables should suffice. Creature details are included in the freely available New Zealand Bestiary.

A good sage NPC with its related location. While simple this can be very useful for GMs that want to introduce some information to their players. Reminds me a bit of Maus Astrologus, another excellent little location + NPC.
I agree - Maus Astrologus is another great example of this kind of thing. I also like The Red Tower for it too.
